Fixing systems for SureClad® granite and limestone stone facades

Shackerley’s SureClad® granite rainscreen and limestone cladding systems provide natural stone facades, enabling you to combine traditional stone façade materials with contemporary construction techniques.

Two of our SureClad® façade fixing systems can be used with our limestone and granite natural stone cladding systems: the SureClad® Hang On system and the SureClad® kerf system.

We can help you decide whether our SureClad® Hang On system, or our SureClad® kerf system is the most appropriate façade fixing system for your project.

Natural stone facades and the SureClad® Hang On fixing system

Limestone facades and granite cladding panels are heavy materials. These natural stone facades need a fixing system that is designed to handle their weight and provide a safe and resilient solution. The SureClad® Hang On façade fixing system provides such a solution, combining horizontal rails with vertical ‘T’ or ‘L’ profiles and aluminium primary support brackets to form a robust ventilated façade system, while offering excellent flexibility and buildability benefits.

Designed to enable the even distribution of windloads and deadloads across the surface of stone façade panels, typically with dimensions of 1200 x 600mm (depending on the type and thickness of the stone), Hang On is our most versatile façade fixing system, used across our porcelain stone, surestone, limestone and granite facades.

SureClad® kerf fixing system for 20mm stone facades

The SureClad® kerf system is a façade fixing system based on traditional methods for installing heavier natural stone panels. It can be used for our granite and limestone façade systems as an alternative to our SureClad® Hang On façade fixing system.

Unlike the SureClad® Hang On and SureClad® Access façade fixing systems, which use an innovative secret fix mechanical fixing design, the SureClad® kerf fixing system uses horizontal kerf rails, along with vertical ‘T’ or ‘L’ profiles and aluminium primary support brackets. To install SureClad® stone facades using the kerf system, the granite or limestone stone façade panel is supported by a groove, which is cut into the upper and lower edge of the panel during manufacturing at one of our ISO 9001-certified factories. This allows the installer to connect it with the upper and lower rails to hold it in place.

The SureClad kerf façade fixing system is typically used to install panels of up to 1200x600mm (depending on the type and thickness of the stone).
