Ceramic granite ventilated façades

Innovation and investment

In the 1990s, with the development of the Queen’s Award winning SureClad® ventilated façade system, Shackerley successfully pioneered the use of mechanically fixed large format ceramic granite panels in external cladding systems in the UK.

Continuous investment in our Lancashire production facilities has enabled us to develop the complete range of specialist prefabrication services required to transform fully vitrified ceramic granite slabs into ‘installation-ready’ ventilated façade panels.

UK market leadership

As a result, we have been able to help the country’s foremost architectural practices to fully exploit the benefits of ceramic granite cladding, and to employ this extraordinarily versatile, durable and aesthetically pleasing, fire resistant material in exterior envelope applications.

Today, we continue to lead the ceramic granite ventilated cladding market in the UK and our façades have been specified to protect and enhance the appearance of landmark buildings in every sector.

Prestigious projects

As shown in our Gallery and Project Reviews, Shackerley has a significant impact on the architectural landscape - our ceramic granite façades have been specified for prestigious hospital buildings, university and college facilities, hotels, commercial office developments, large retail complexes and pioneering modular residential housing schemes.

Exporting our ceramic granite façade systems

We export to several overseas territories including the USA where our products are marketed as SureClad Porcelain Stone® façades. We are establishing a growing presence in non-UK markets having completed a number of architectural porcelain cladding projects in the leisure, retail, education and transportation sectors.
